Bad IceThe Joker and IBad Ice by ~Sunny-For-Life
That’s what we were
Forever laughing with glee.
Nothing could stop us.
Not even a few shallow breaths.
We created and laughed.
That was who we are.
That was what we did.
But it all ended that one snowy morning
When children who were meant to be playing
Were met with a gruesome reality.
The ice shined like the flash of a knife in the light,
And in the next moment the cracks that sounded like crumbling rocks,
Swallowed up my Joker.
The water rippled where she’d fallen,
Waving as if to invite me in.
But my feet were frozen to the ground,
As I stretched out my hand helplessly.
The air burned my lungs
As my feet burned in the snow.
I realized it wasn’t too cold,
Not cold enough,
Not cold like her.
Mumbled apologies and flowers covered me
But it wouldn’t change anything.
The Joker was gone
I as her last joke.
The joke of a boy who thought he was a man.
Bad IceShe was pretty fragile to begin with. You wouldn’t know it by looking at her, since she was a giant in every room that was allowed to be in her presence. Sometimes you could even forget she was this size of a ten-year old child. She was cocky, proud, and the most sarcastic person you’d ever lay eyes on. But she had the best sense of humor you’d ever come across, and she was always up for a practical joke. I can’t count how many times I’ve seen her eyes light up at a new suggestion, her mind whirling as she thought up a way to improve my half-assed plan. If it weren’t for her, I’d have been caught years ago for all the mistakes I’d had in my plan before she cleaned up my mess. We had a little thing we always said to each other after deciding on a new prank and cleaning up the details,Bad Ice by ~Sunny-For-Life
“They’ll never see us coming, Andy, this plan is fool-proof.”
She would smirk, saying the same thing every time, “You know what they
ElliOz: Forgotten MemoriesThe crash and tinkle of the breaking cup seemed to linger on for hours, rather than the seconds it took to fall apart. The tea spread quickly, staining the carpet, spreading in all directions, almost like a flower, reaching its petals out as far as it can go.ElliOz: Forgotten Memories by ~Sunny-For-Life
It was the first time Elliot every remembered dropping something. He'd always been good with his hands. A child had to be, when growing up in a mansion full of glass and other fragile objects.
Elliot just kept staring at the broken cup, Reo's words circling around his brain, repeating it over and over. Bad accident Concussion... Been in a coma for a week
Suddenly he was being shaken, rocked back and forth by a hand on his shoulder. He blinked, the slow motion of the world coming back to real time, as he focused his eyes on Reo's face.
"Elliot? Your face is pale. Perhaps you should sit down." He actually had a hint of worry in his voice. It almost seemed funny to Elliot, Reo always kept his cool.
